You guys may or may not remember my dilema with Alice my Welsh D mare. To recap Alice had been through a number of issues and whilst over coming these i had sustained a nasty fall resulting in some bad injuries and a severely knocked confidence. Alice had been out of work for a few months. I was contemplating selling and had even advertised her.
Now after a number of events including losing my grazing for her, finding myself in a new job at a competition livery yard where Alice came with me, I have had alot of help with her from my boss, we have regained huge amounts of confidence in each other, through join up and various ground work activities. She has now been in ridden work for the last 3 weeks with absolutely no hiccups. She seems so much more relaxed at our new yard, i have stuck to a structured routine with her (which seems to have helped the most) and because she is at work with me it means i can make alot more time for her (in lunch breaks etc). With regards to our ridden work i am doing things with her i would have never dreamed of, silly things like getting on from the ground (her biggest fear), having a canter out hacking and even doing a little bit of no stirrup work.
I am so pleased with it all and really feel i have rediscovered the pony i got glimmers of before, my soulmate
Here are a few pictured of her shortly after she arrived, sporting her first ever clip...she was an angel.
Muddy pony in her snazzy stable rug:
That camera looks very tasty:
Naked pony showing off her clip (and falling asleep):
What are you doing mum:
I would have got some of me riding her but i havent had a chance to get any in daylight.
Hope you like.
