She's five.... I think she looks strange. Nice ears, but something's off..


She's supposed to be very easy. What's with all the tack?

What's with that neck?! Is she pretty or odd?

Long neck, bit underdeveloped body-wise and got that under-throat muscle that I don't like much - but could be quite pretty...

Rider got that "hunter seat" which could be affecting her posture - but its not a brilliant photo so she could be amazing in the flesh

Gag, grakle, breastplate, martingale - looks like hunting kit to me... course, i could be completely wrong LOL

Well her conformation isnt great but its been made ten times worse by fighting the gag and martingale,which has caused her to have a fairly horrifically upside down neck and a severe lack of muscle on her back.
If she were mine I would want everything checked and then start her off again on the ground loose then in a headcollar along with some regular physio until she started to develop some correct musculature,thats before I would even consider riding her.
Who have I upset now then?!lol!

No-one. I'm genuinely interested. She's for sale and the owner sent me some extra pictures from up the country. I was just confused by her appearance. Really want the feedback, so thanks.

She's described as sweet natured but not a novice ride as she has to be sent on a lot. She has hunter trialed and hunted (the real deal here in Ireland).

She's only 15.1. Looks massive in the picture but imagine the rider is petite.

she looks like shes done a lot of jumping etc and not much else, by her shape. probably not in the correct way either. i wouldnt let it put me off looking though. i'd go and try her and see what you can get out of her. it may just be that shes belonged to not very good riders.

Looks to me as tense as anything and as Sarah said, if I bought her I'd take her right back to basics and get everything checked and sorted and get rid of all the gadgets and tack her up to suit her and help her, not restrain and fight against her.

I would prefer to see her with all her tack off and running feree to get a better idea of how she could develop . Its is not a pleasant pic atm imo but is she is pleasant natured thats a great start ... and I like her ears too .. although the "odd" to me bit in forst pic was has poll area seemed a bit narrow

I dont know if she would kanga,she does have a very kind eye.But you do need to ask why all the gadgets?
Could still be worth a look,but I wouldnt expect her to come without physical issues at least that need addressing.
