I got my first set of muck boots a few years ago and they lasted well over two years, i was a very happy customer as i wore them pretty much all the time. Now i am on my second pair and i think i have had them about a year give or take and i have a split in the back of my left boot by my ankle(which i assume has been there a little while). Now i really do love these boots as they're comfy, warm, good for yard work and i can ride in them too. Obviously with the split it lets in water making my poor toes cold. Has anyone else got the muck boots since they changed the design with the solid bit now higher up on the neoprene, how long have you had yours, daily use and how are the coping? So should i go for another pair? OR Do i go for something else. I would prefer the boot to be comfy, warm, hard wearing and also be able to ride in them too. So your thoughts please. x

I gave up on my Muck Tyne boots, found them uncomfortable and made my feet sweat and then the linings didn't dry out.
I've bought Just Togs Mudruckers and i am very impressed, i've got the normal ones which are almost identical to the Tyne muckers but the lining is quite a bit different, very comfy, very warm, very absorbent but dry, totally non slip bottom on them even on ice. They also do the riding version which are £44 and so comfy, in fact we've been trawling tack shops today trying to find my daughters size. The sole is different on the riding version but they are just as comfy as the muckers. They don't seem to be very popular in shops as the Tynes pretty much cornered the market but at £10 cheaper and far better made, i'd go for the Just Togs every time now!

there is a company called muddies that make some that ae almost the same. i was going to try them next and found them cheap online somewhere at £36. i had 2 pairs of muck boots split so wouldnt bother again. my OH has just got hold of a new pair of derwents (FOC) with tread on the sole. not tried them yet but will do so being hey were free, and see how they hold up. maybe its just the tynes that are rubbish. but atm i wouldnt part with cash for any.

ding bat - the Muddies have the same sole as the Tynes and are quite slippy for some reason? I put my Tynes upside down next to my Mudruckers and they look almost identical but feel completely different, the Tynes slipped everywhere whereas the Mudruckers don't.

i never had problems with the soles to be honest. they just split! not seen mudruckers - will have to investigate those.

Babycham, thanks for the links.
I may well invest in a pair of the Just Togs Mudruckers.

We sell more mudruckers than anything else. They've taken the market by storm. I can highly recommend them. Certainly the warmest and most comfortable boots I've worn.
