How much do you all think Misty is worth? I know there are a few of these so i do apoligise.
I advertised him for sale in August with 16 rugs, a sabre show bridle, a schooling bridle & a virtually brand new Ideal working hunter saddle for £2600. I dropped his price, minus all of the tack to £1400 in september.
I had LOTS of time wasters with him. He always did everything everyone asked of him, he was ridden by a 4yo child that has never ridden before and never put a foot wong!! I looked on Horse Quest and horsemart at the prices at the time and broken section A's were ranging from around £1200 to £6000+
11.2hh 2002 Registered section a gelding, broken in sping 2007, plenty of scope, jumps well over 3ft6 on the lunge and has jumped about 2ft9 max under saddle. We hack down main roads and jump logs and things, canters nicely on the buckle end of the rein around a huge open field, never tanks off, bucks, rears etc.
Never had anything wrong with him that he has needed a vets attention, no lami, stands perfectly for the farrier, loads on anyone's trailer apart from mine!! (He hates it as it is a step on step off..he doesnt like stepping off!!) And is good to catch, especially recently he has come running to the gate every night He is a nice boy, a little nervous from lack of handling as a youngster but he is not bolshy or nasty in anyway, just nice and quiet.
Shown local & county level in-hand & under saddle in BIG welsh classes and he is always well placed in the top 5.
I work for a riding school and know how difficult it is to find the ponies that are so child proof they might as well be asleep, misty is deffinetely one of them but he is such a push button ride. Snaffle mouthed at all times, not strong at all!! He is shown in a Wilkie.
You can critique the pony if you like..just not the rider as i think she has done a fab job breaking this pony.
