Are these the same people that are shooting the goats? I don't know. But quite a lot of the goats on the Orme are full of shot anyway since the local kids go and shoot them

Who is buying them at this price? What sort of homes are they going to? Surely not for meat as I was told by a now retired dealer that it costs more to dispose of a carcass and head (I know it sounds brutal) than they'd get for the meat on them. He was pointing out different horses and ponies at Beeston when I went with Smudge and according to him there were very very few who would viable for meat. I agree abou the gelding though. It would surely be a good think if there was some sort of help with cost of castration, however maybe then they would just be more viable to breed as they would make more money due to costing less to castrate

I think a lot of ponies used to be shipped straight to the continent, where perhaps they went to fattening farms. I'm not sure what happens now. I know the Karen Millen people were making handbags out of ponyskin though!

Dressy people are usually like foody people, they just don't usually care. Think of all the supermodels who were on the 'fur is evil' bandwagon and now how many of them are wearing it now it's become fashionable again?
Can't say I've worn anything Karen Millen since tho!
