Hey FN, Thankyou for thinking of us.... The news is..... he's doing well !!! He eats at least 7 feds per day between 8am and 6pm, I've changed to Simple Systems feeds and supplement, which bulks the feeds up and replaces the grass/hay he doesn't have, I mix the SS feeds with Baileys No4 and an Old Forage mix, ok, he isn't used to a completely sugar free diet just yet, its more impprtant he eats right now. He gets turned out for 2 hours each day, he doesn't graze properly, but he does pick about for a while, he colics when he comes in after grass, but I'm hoping his stomach adjusts over time to grass again. he even has started rolling when turned out, and sometimes having a little trot about !! He poops everyday and is generally very interested in life now. Which is fan-blooming-tastic as far as I am concerned. He still can't eat hay, doesn't drink water, can't lift his tail up to poop, lays down a lot, so it is a very long path we are starting on, but he's a star, and I promised him as long as he fights it, I will fight for him. It will be the most amazing Chrimbo ever for me and my daughter should he a.)survive and b.) slowly get a bit better............ Sincere thanks to everyone who has expressed concerns about little Nelson...it means tons to have someone else out there to talk things through, and I really hope the other GS sufferer Rosie is picking up ok ? I have new photos if there is any folks out there who would post them for me, he is still 150 pounds down, but I'm sure he looks better than last time..... Thanks again, Lioness, Little Cub and Nelson......

Thanks a lot guys, much appreciated by us all..... Nels had the dentist this week for the first time ever, the homeopathic vet advised he had some pain on one side of his jaw, but I've had to wait until he was strong enough to cope with it. He was a star, not flinching once and just taking it in his stide, the dentist said he had some sharp points but nothing drastic, he thought he would be more comfortable eating after. Well he must have felt SO much better !! When I went to get him in from his paddock, he had trashed the electric fencing, he was standing in the middle of the posts and tape all over the floor, when he saw me and realized it was time to come in, he hopped out of the tape and trotted off up the meadow !!! ;D The meadow is 20 acres and he looked back at me to say hahahaha come and catch me ! He jogged about for 10 mins with me trundling along behind him, until he must have had a twinge, so stopped in his tracks and plodded slowly home, I'm sure he was grinning all the way back.... Anyhow, how could I possibly do anything but smile, laugh at him and shed a little tear of happiness at such a cheeky, simple little thing he did, at last, he might be changing back into the pony we once knew..... Thanks again, L
