Dressage Test Workshop With
Gaynor Ranshaw on Sunday 27th April
Have you ever wondered just how to get those elusive scores when riding a dressage test? Then this is the workshop for you!
Gaynor Ranshaw has a wealth of experience and is a British Dressage listed judge whose current clients include British Dressage regional and national finalists, Horse Of The Year Show and Royal International Horse Show prizewinners as well as Pony Club One Day Event area champions.
The workshop will consist of –
10am – 10.30am Discussion on scales of training - what judges are looking for and what the movements in the tests actually mean.
10.30am – lunch Ridden demonstrations (including Kim Young on Zero To Hero fresh from the National Dressage Championships) of how to ride all of the different movements in Prelim 13 and some of those in Novice 22, plus some Elementary movements. (If anyone wishes to see examples of any particular test movement please let me know as soon as possible).
Over lunch The video “Through the judges Eye” as FEI judge Stephen Clark looks at and talks about the way of going for novice tests – which is exactly the same as for prelim.
Afternoon Each person will get a 45-minute paired lesson where they will be able to ride through the different movements in prelim 13 (or other test if they require) and get help and tuition to improve their test riding.
This workshop will suit everyone – regardless of age, ability and ambition! It will allow you to focus on your technique in order to learn / improve movements in tests and provide you will a clearer understanding of how to maximise your score.
The day will run from approximately 10am to 5pm and the cost for this one-day workshop is £45 per person (including lunch and refreshments) and spectators are welcome to attend for £15 per person (including lunch and refreshments).
