Hello folks, I have recently moved to Gloucestershire, and am looking to start riding again in the new year. To start with, I would very much like to continue having lessons; something which I haven't done for far too long. Although I am a very happy hacker, I still feel I have a long way to go in terms of finesse and improving my riding technique! Soooo, I'm on the lookout for a good riding instructor. I'm particularly interested in Heather Moffat, Mary Wanless or Centred Riding type instruction, although I'd happily go with a BHS instructor if I have a recommendation from someone more NH/IH minded to go on. I'm looking in the Gloucester / Stroud area in particular, but could probably go further afield if necessary. Any suggestions out there?

Hi how about Nicole Golding at Cirencester way - she does Mary Wanless I think. She is an RA so you can get her details on the main noticeboard - hope that helps!

As soon as I saw the title, Nicole was my first thought as she does Ride With Your Mind . She's based in Woodmancote near Cirencester. Adam, her other half, is also a good instructor - he had us doing some of the classical reining, wich was great fun.

There's also Nicky Smith who is a Mary Wanless trained instructor. I'll PM you her number. She comes over to us to do clinics and is excellent.

Perhaps you're sorted out now, but I've been having great lessons at Huntley School of Equitation - It's a BHS exam centre but the instruction is very holistic, very intuititve trainers and they've done wonders for me this past year. Horses are good - it's not a normal 'rding school' and the horses ride very much like 'real' horses.

Hi nicxf! I've had lessons with Adam and Nicole - all very good. Have recently been having EE lessons and they are all excellent as well!
