I have a Quarter Horse mare and an American Paint just outside Andover, Hants and wonder if there are any other Western riders in the area. With winter on the doorstep I will need some jollying along in the dark days and it would be nice to know someone else with a similar interest.

John Ayles is the Western Equestrian Society Area Rep in your area (Area 8) and the area website is on www.wesarea8.com/ - If you give him a call I am sure he will be able to help, or maybe you could go along to one of their events and meet some people that way. There is also Anne Batley who, although is technically the rep for Dorset, she is actually more in Hampshire. You can get her contact details on www.davidgray.biz/area3.htmThere are a lot of western riders in Hampshire and Bob Mayhew is based there too. Another site to try is the WES site www.wes-uk.com
