Kate (kated), live near Marlborough on the edge of Savernake Forest with my ID x TB, Maestro. Close friends with Thelwell 78 and hvkmills, both of whom are regulars here - we all live within a few miles of each other and used to be yard buddies.

Me too, me too.
I live in Minety, in the triangle between Swindon, Malemsbury and Cirencester. Horse is Tigger, 17'2 IDx, but he's long term lame so currently parked in a field in Hankerton, 3.5 miles away. But at 2 visits a day he's almost as timeconsuming as if I were riding!! LOL

......and since I can't spell Malmesbury, and i've often wondered, just how do I get back in to a post to edit it?

Hello Womble, you are not far from me at all then.
I don't know many horsey people at all round here, I am a Devon lass really but moved up here last October.
I keep my horses near Upavon at the mo right on the plain, I have the yard all to my self which is nice. The riding is great round there. I am starting up a new business supported by the Princes Trust. My new yard is in Alton Barnes nr Pewsey so I will be moving my horses and stud there and will be offering Livery Services, it's a really lovely yard with the Downes close by to compensate for loosing my lovely riding here ! I will also be offering DIY livery at the yard I am leaving nr Upavon.
I have a 15.3 coloured mare, 16.2 Bay Gelding whos an ex-racehorse, a 14.2 black Arab stallion and numerous miniature spotted ponies!
Sorry if I have rambled on!

Hi Hollowmoor,
Ooh! One of my best friends lives in Upavon - I am there alot of the time. As for Alton Barnes, well, that's about two miles from where I rode for years and I can tell you the hacking is absolutely wonderful on the downs. You can go for miles and there are (or were, it's not my stomping ground now) loads of lovely jumps. Whereabouts in Alton Barnes are you? I know all that area well, having grown up in Pewsey. I am sure you will love it.
