Foolonahorse who owns bonita has just done a wee test today ( took this long to catch her going for a wee, bonita, that is,not foolonahorse!) and Bonita is having a liddle foalie!! Not too sure whether that is good or bad really... Especially as she decided last week that despite being caught every day for the last few months she wouldnt be caught...hmmmm! Do you think that could be because she is imminent? Nothing else has changed.

WOW!!! Congrats - definitely good news!!!
As my mare is preggers (planned) and I think the rescue donkey is I have been doing a lot of reading up and imminent signs will be udder development, slack muscles around tail bone, milk going from clearish yellow to opaque means 24 hrs. Horses are notoriously different though so it will be a fun wait and see but hope she's kind to give you signs.
The best book that was recommended to me and is amazing is called 'Blessed are the Broodmares' - it really is fab and I wholeheartedly recommend it. It gives all sorts of easy to understand advice about everything!
Ooh, can't wait!!!

ahhh, well done again for saving her, just imagine how horrible it would of been for her to go through that journey just before death while carrying a foalie.. I no its awful for all of them... well I'm sure foolonahorse is over the moon, it will be so exciting and I hope the stress-free home she has been in for the last few months will help her have a healthy foal... cant wait to hear more... any pics?

Well the good news is that I did manage to catch bonita today! I have brought her and guiness in for now as I am worried that she wont let me near if she foals outside and also that it is soooo cold for a foalie to be born outside! The bad news is that we have zero idea when she is due! I have brought guiness in to keep her company and they are both pretty happy and relaxed about it,so thats good too! I have taken both their rugs off just in case. Am now wondering what to do about the other 2 in case they are in foal too!

Sounds like you might have to get them in, even if it's just to give you the chance to do some more wee tests...

I'm not too sure whether to be excited or worried - I sent a wee sample off on Friday for Zorelle too! She's got a very big lopsided belly but no fat elsewhere. As you say though, Sarah, not too sure whether it would be good or bad...
But congratulations to Bonita. Does she want a boy or a girl?
