Great to hear that he's made it - we agree that he is lovely. Can't wait to see the pics of him in his new home and hear how he's settling in. Well done for taking him on, I'm sure he'll pay you back a thousand times over.

A-ha!! The reason he was destined for the freezer and not the field is the amount of white that he has on him! Anything over the knee is considered a no-no in the stud book for stallions and are not allowed to breed. OK... re-reading that back, yes it does sound callous, but when you start to ride out on him and you start to get idiots (just as I did) asking you how many steaks can you get out of him, you start to toughen up a lot!! My answer is... "my blobbies are ride, drive and BBQ, but we haven't worked out the logistics of a spit roast yet". I can tell you that this shuts up the smart ar$es straight away! ;D ;D Nicky - once the sedative has worn off, get him out into a paddock or take him for a walk on the lead (if you can). They are such large horses that it really helps with the swelling and keeping the wound clear (I only had Podge done last year and by using the above methods he healed with no problems in no time, unlike the other three). Hmmm... Solly1 is having his done in October!!

Hehe, really? well i think his stockings are cuteeeeeeee! He's spent the day grabing his large bucket of water and throwing it about I cant get over his little girly neigh. I took him for a short walk and will do the same over the next few days so he doesnt get stiff and swollan! Ps, anyone any ideas on how to beat boredum, my 'little' guy likes to play and i put in a stable toy and he followed it for 2 mins then lost interest (he couldnt eat it : although he did try to kill it with his large feet PPs.... them pics really dont do him justice.. you need to see him in person (anyone is welcome lol)
