.......That when the sun is shining, and the sky is a nice shade of blue, with soft white clouds drifting along....that you feel perhaps a bit more confident when riding, or planning on riding your horse?
Am just wondering that if the weather is nice and warm, the person is feeling a bit more relaxed than say on a day when it's really miserable?

Yes definately! The sun gives you a boost & makes you feel more up for it in general esp as there's no wind & ours are a bit lazier when it's hot LOL

No doubt about it! Always feel more optimistic when it's sunny.

yes, Julz you have a point there... edited to say: when it's really hot you sometimes feel like you don't have the energy to ride and I think sometimes the horses feel the same

So then wouldn't it make sence to move continents?
or improve your riding, thus boosting your confidence in the spring/summer & nice autumny days, write down your feelings of particular good rides, so that, come winter you can read your notes, and try to visualise that day, and re-enact it on a miserable day in the winter.... If you are relaxed, so should your horse be....
Can we try it?

The wind and cold certainly get under my tail... so to speak! Certainly feel more relaxed on a windless warm day.

Spot on Julz. Funny thing is my Lincoln is a bit hyper when it is mega windy. Recently it was very windy but lovely and sunny, and it was only about 2 miles into my ride that I realised that, had it been cold and frosty, I would probably not have ventured out alone I have considered this before and my theory has been that my horses have more turnout in warmer weather, eat less hard feed have more freedom, and are more inclined to be chilled out when it's warm. But yep, I think all us lot should move to Spain, so we won't be nervous any more LOL!!!

Im all for moving to Spain as long as we can take neds with us. I hacked out for the 2nd time on my new horse yesterday (1st time on our own) and I was so nervous but once I was out and relaxed into the warmth and brightness of the sunshine, it did feel a lot less stressful!!!
xXx
