This event has been postponed by a week and will now take place on Saturday 26th April. Is anyone from this DG going? I've entered Pharaoh for this, which will be his first ever "event" of any kind - so I'm not guaranteeing him to be on his best behaviour - we'll wait and see!

Not entered as stewarding, will look out for you, due to having to move the date it will be a very quiet ride, people have had to drop out so Ideal for a novice horse or pony. Enteries will be taken on the day up to 12 midday The entry free is a bit higher on the day. A few more people would be great!! Ali

Hi Ali,
Well, we did the ride and I am totally and utterly thrilled with Pharaoh's behaviour. For his first time at an event things couldn't have gone better.
The route was well marked and with no roadwork, most enjoyable.
I was really, really pleased with the water crossing too. Pharaoh has NEVER crossed water before. When we were coming close to the water, I spotted a group of riders a few hunded yards ahead, so I caught up with them and asked if they wouldn't mind if I followed them through the water as it was Pharoah's first time. They were fine with that, and of joy of joys, Pharaoh simply followed the others through without hesitation. He's a little star!
Anyway, Ali, where were you stewarding? I may have met you and not known who you were. I was on the pinky grey Arab with the black mane and tail, and was wearing a red and green rugby shirt. I don't think we would have been hard to spot, as I didn't see any other Arabs there??

Hi Sam glad you had a good time, I was at the 1st water crossing, so would have seen you go in, there were a few arabs, we have two endurance riders that have been 3 or 4 times on arabs allways go first I think most had a good time, we have the same people doing the ride every year, so they must enjoy it!!
