Hi Showing Peeps I'll come clean... I don't know the first thing about showing - but many people have told me my horse has nice paces, and I *think* he has I would like to try some in hand showing but he was cut quite late and i think that if he was trotting next to me, he would get a bit excited and start to do the whole 'Stallion Thing'... tossing his head and prancing and maybe throw in a rear.... is this horrifying in the 'showing world'? Sorry, I am completely clueless - lol - first show will probably be on our own yard, so nothing major and not much pressure as everyone knows him - lol thank you

It's obviously not desirable, and in an older horse may well be penilised, however the main thing to consider is safety. Will he be safe if you're leading him in a class of others? Is he likely to get loose if he's naughty? Could he kick or try to mount others?

Yes he could get loose, but he's not likely to mount or kick.... yeah, maybe not the best idea I've ever had! lol thanks cubic, i was hoping you'd reply - you are like the Oracle when it comes to showing knowledge!

thanks cubic, i was hoping you'd reply - you are like the Oracle when it comes to showing knowledge! There are plenty who are more/just as experienced as me here - and if it's to do with m&ms, arabs or minature horses I'm about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
