Hi, although we weren't all that successful (to say the least !) at the CT Champs, I'm really quite keen on showing Toby. Would you both mind having a look at some pics of him and tell me what sort of class (I'm hoping you'll say working hunter !) he would be suitable for and then point me in the right direction as you both seem to be the resident experts !! His picture can be seen on the general discussion talk posted by Susan, 'great weekend on the beach, spoiled' he's the chestnut with white legs and if you really want to I can direct you to a poshed up photo on another website taken from him jumping last weekend.

Hi, I'm more than happy to comment, but it's really difficult from those photos - for starters his legs are in the water so you can't see how much bone he has Do you have any photos of him standing side on? either with or without a rider. How does he move? and how big is he? Presumably he jumps if you're thinking about working hunters - what sort of height are you jumping at the moment?

Echo Cubic, it's hard to tell from a photo, I'm sure we'd both come to the same conclusion as well. Also, Specialsparkle3 is the showing guru and is very helpful with things like this. Hope you don't mind me nominating you SS3

That's what I thought and tbh, I'm not 100% clued up on the bigger Hunters, spent too much time on ponies and worrying about sparkly browbands! ;D

I really like that idea!!! Libby has about 7 different 1s now so that would give me an excuse to buy more if she had 3 heads! ;D Not sure what your horse would think about that being a Hunter though!

I think I'd like to get him a pink one although I'm not too sure he would agree that it's his colour !!

Sorry Spook...we've gone via silly street! Where abouts are you in the world? If you're not too far from Bedfordshire The College EC have an unaffilliated show on the 21st October, you get decent judges who show at affilliated level. I have to promote it...it's my mum's show! ;D

It's all far too easy to be silly though and soo much fun !! It takes me just over an hour to get to The College but I've been there a few times. Is there a website so I can see what classes ? We're kind of restricted due to my age. . . . well over 25yrs (although I don't think so mentally !) and Toby's 15'2hh.

The show's unaffilliated so there aren't any age restrictions on horses, only on the ponies. Have a look on www.thecollegeec.co.uk
