right off we went with our snazzy browband from Carole, thanks a million, and turnout tips from her, SS3 and many others... and the results were good...
first place inhand veteran second place ridden veteran fifth place (large class though) prettiest mare fourth place ridden foreign breed
I had her in a brown gp synthetic saddle, normal snaffle in havanna bridle
hehehehe....and we did the canter from rein back infront of judge in our individual show heheheh and she came up and said that it was the best individual show she had seen, but if I wanted to start doing it county level I should get her a "proper" show saddle and ride her in a pelham or a double...plus not plait her tail but pull it, and then she said we could even do well on county level eeek..not bad...she also said it was a delight to ride a well schooled horse that was light on the aids hehehehe I am soooooo happy....but I have to get a tweed jacket as i did it all in my dressage jacket and stock...I know i know...
thanks All!!!!!

Well done! I can see lots of £££ being spent now on new saddle, jacket, ties, browbands, pulling combs, lotions, potions, bits, etc, etc....

well it was a very small local show, but the rosettes were huge...lol
the judge in the ridden veteran class asked many questions, and seemed very impressed that she was and x broodmare that I rescued from being pts, plus that she was backed at the age of 16....she said though that it was a bit of a shame that she have some scars on her legs, but in veteran classes that isnt too much of a worry...
well, yes i think a new saddle is coming on anyway, and of course we must have a new tweed jkt, but it was a nice show, great atmosphere, loads of people came up and said she was a very pretty horse and someone even asked wether i ever thought of breeding from her...but I said she is 209 and have had ten babies already, so no , but thanks anyhow.....

when i get my camera back...we lost quite a few bits and pieces in the general mess that our cars were in afterwards, we had so much paraphernalia with us it was unbeleivable, that is the next thing that i need to get to grips with...organising trailer and pick up... ;D

Oh lovelylace you must be so proud, I have just got back from PUK so missed seeing this and am so happy for you, I agree about the plaited tail, though I personally prefer the look and work that goes into a plaited tail, pulled is much more correct adn believe me on hectic mornings you will be eternally gratefull for one less thing to plait!! Glad you wowed them too with your schooling. Tip re saddle, if you get a saddler to 'fit' and find one that you like, don't buy new do search on internet engine and see if you can find one for sale cheaper, SH will look more at home too if its been kept in GC. Cannot wait to see some pics! What size and colour tweed do you want as I have one for sale!!!!! Await pics with baited breath, you must have looked good to win ;D
SS3 we really must run some clinics you know, we could travel the counties
