Hi ,
Can anyone tell me what the rules are for BSJA in terms of whether standing martingales are allowed?
Also do they have a set of rules of conduct as far as use of whip? How many times is a horse allowed to be hit with a whip in the ring and are you only allowed to use it ,say ,if your horse has refused a fence or if the horse wont even enter the ring , I'm not talking using the whip on the horses shoulder to get it over a jump but as punishment?
Any help would be greatly recieved
Cheers Rachel

Standing martingales are not allowed
Abuse of the whip is not allowed
Whip should not be used as punishment, but as an aid.

From when I used to compete (may have changed) Standing Martingales and MH's are allowed at senior level but not junior.
There was a ruling re whip - something like 4 hits in 10 secs but not definite on that
