Can anyone recommend one? I've heard of some that insist a horse is doped before they'll visit, I'd rather try one that doesn't insist upon this.

hi We had Charlie Pickman out who was recommended by Roz from this site who is very experienced. He was great , we felt in really safe ,knowlegable hands, and he is well qualified. He came out first and checked our 2 horses and was prepared to work without sedation, but in the end he had to revisit with a vet for sedatating as our new horse needed a fair bit of work. He is well worth a call on 01761452085 or 07813985416. Good luck

Blimey, never heard of someone who insists on doping! I always used to use Wayne Abbott, but new horse needs sedating and put into stocks, so it's just easier for me to box up and drop them off to Langford for a thorough session every 6 months.

Hi, thanks for this. These are the two I had in mind. Roz always used to rave about a lady dentist as well - but she also said that she wouldn't attend unless the vet had the horse sedated - that rings alarm bells for me I'm afraid.
I know Charlie, and can't forget him being a kid and learning to ride - I am getting old!!
Wayne is the only one I can find on the recommended list and is the longest qualified, so I think I'll start there.
Cheers
