Im not from your area but just to say be a bit careful- i spent over £200 on treatments for my horse from a Bowen therapist (and had some treatments myself- 3 sessions-£90) and i can honestly say it had NO effect at all, maybe it was just me being unlucky. I also thought it was dreadful value for money , cannot see how such light touches can do anything really, next time i have a problem i will get a physio . I know lots of you (probably most of you !!)think its fantastic, but its not for me or my horse.

To put the opposite view across, I had a Bowen Therapist out to both of my two and they both loved every minute of it, and I really saw a difference. She did me too (for want of a better phrase!) as I have a serious neck injury and I really felt it!

yep sunny was helped a huge amount through Bowen as well, in fact i wish i could afford some treatments for myself.
Sorry OP don't know anyone close to you but if you look on the main Bowen website i'm sure you'll find someone and as long as they are fully qualified they should be good.

Hi Thistle,
I'm an Equine Bowen Therapist myself (fully qualified, registered and insured), based in South Bucks. I do cover the South and West of Hertfordshire, but not usually the north of the county (I presume you're somewhere up near Stevenage way??) as in order to avoid charging people travel expenses, I usually stick to a 30 mile radius of High Wycombe. However, Teresa Iommi is a Hertfordshire based Equine Bowen Therapist - her e-mail address is tiommiAThotmail.co.uk and could I suggest you contact her. If you want any more info on EBT, if I can help in any way or if you would like Teresa's telephone number, please feel free to PM me.
All the best,
Sam

I have to say that I would not have anything else other than Bowen done on either myself or my horses. Ok I'm a little biased as I am a Human Bowen Therapist, but I decided to go that route having seen the brilliant results my horses had, after Physios and Chiros had all failed. The same went for me too.
I know Teresa, I used to be at the same livery yard when I was in Herts and then we met up again on one of our Human Bowen training courses.
I have Chloe Aldam do my horses as she is based in Cambridge and has become a Bowen collegue / Friend. Chloe will travel but will charge for travel time/distance.

Bowen didn't work for me either, I'm afraid, but Shiatsu did. I think it's horses for courses.
