Does anyone know of a nice confidence giver around 15.2 give or take a bit, prefer mare but not essential, must be rock steady and nursemaid to get me back riding out and poss. some dressage. Biggest problems a) I need a fatty carrier b) I am scared witless of cantering so brakes that work please c) I am very able but legs turn to jelly at first sign of trouble d) not so much a problem just that funds limited
Based nr Peterborough but will travel for right personable horse, own facilities (I have small stud/daughters horses), arena and muchest grazing or starvation type grazing to suit.

Don't know if she is still for sale, but there is a 15.1 cob on welland valley website - www.wellandvalleyfeeds.co.uk then go into small ad's. She sounds like what I need too!!! Let me know if you go to see her etc Carole. Good luck in your search.

Pricewise, I am sort of flexible as if the right horse is old/young/minor ailment type then I would pay obviously far less than say a perfect mount with breed papers/looks/thats 7 or 8, but my top budget is probably going to be in region of £3500 so not likely to get an all singing all dancing model probably.
Would also take one on loan if owner did not want to sell.
Nothing is cast in stone though as I just so badly want to ride again with confidence.
All help gratefully received.

Carole, did you look at the mare on the Welland Valley website. The STD code was 01832 which is Thrapston, Northants area.

If I hear of anything else I'll let you know Carole. Not surprised the mare sold, she looked fab! Good luck in your search, keep us posted won't you. There is also a company in Leicester called Equiloan or similar (again you can find their details on the Welland Valley website under equestrian services I think). They will let you loan a horse, loan with view to buy, loan and share the profits if you improve the horse and it is then sold on etc. Haven't had any experience with them personally, but seems like a good idea in principle.

Hi Have you had a look at Stubley Hollow web site www.stubleyhollowfarm.com/One of the horses keeps catching my eye - Bill - But as I already have 2, getting a 3rd might push hubbie over the edge. If you are interested, call Patsy, she will give you the low down. Got one of my boys from there and he is lovely.

Because nobody hardly goes on the correct section!!! So it was suggested I put it here to find my new ned. and it proves a point that I have had more replies on this section than the wanted section, as a rule I hardly use this section of the board as by the time I had waded through the rest it was time for bed, glad it was suggested I put it here as I have def. had more response
