As some of you may know, the mad mummies are returning to Jerez in Spain in March. Thanks to some hard negotiating on the part of Ms Fox, we will be able to book some lessons with Rafael Soto, the head trainer at the State School in Jerez and Spanish Olympic team member. (Actually, all down to the fact he winked at me at the four schools display, I just had to get an excuse to meet him.....)
We are going from 12th to 16th March, and the deal is that everyone will book their own flights and hotel, but if you want a lesson, it must be pre-booked and paid for - we'll find out how much when we know how many are potentially interested. I'm going to put a thread on the demo section. You can say if you are interested here to keep the thread up for a while, and I'll put a list on the new thread, plus links for good hotel and flight deals. We can then arrange to book the same flights and hotels and share hire cars if you want.
Even if you are not the biggest fan of Rafael's style, it will be an opportunity to ride a wonderfully schooled Andalusian - if you haven't ever done that, it is an experience that may change your life!
The idea is to have a lot of laughs, loads of good food, and go shopping in the tack shop too! And of course, see and touch loads of amazing horses!!!

Jen, we're going to Golega in Portugal to the Lusitano horse festival in November. How about that? Bet we could get some individual horse intros sorted for that too. We *know* people.... (trying to sound mysterious......)

Jen, you can do the whole trip for under £500. Less if you can stay with someone and they are near enough to Golega. You can get cheap flights now, bmi baby have just started going to Lisbon. The schedules aren't published yet for November, but I am going to try to get a hotel block booked asap as they get very full, very early.

Wow, I would be very interested - depending on price though, only just got back from Budapest! Sounds absolutely fantastic - but will Rafael be tolerant of us mere mortals who can't ride very well?!
