Just got in from feeding my 3 and I'm resembling like a little icicle, frozen to the core. It's absolutely bitter cold and blowing a gale out there tonight. It's not got above zero today. On a plus side, the horses are all happy with a big round bale of hay and are munching their tea. I've filled to bath to the brim in case the outside tap freezes tonight. Stay warm everyone, it's nasty outside

You should see my poor dogs. They live out in a kennel and have Pessoa dog rugs on, but being wimpy greyhounds, they are cold so we just got two of the smallest t-shirts I could find and carfully place head through the neck and front legs through the arms, then we put their rugs back on top. They look rather odd but they'll be warmer!!

I welcome the frost! I have not so much as a sign of mudrash, which is good.

I rode out too - not only was it fffffrrreeezzzing cold but very windy so my horse was an idiot much of the time! I wore my Mountain Horse padded trousers - I have enough padding built in so don't normally bother but today I went around looking like a michelin man!! I need to find my ear muffs as they were freezing!

LR - I thought Red was good in the wind?!!! Flynn was a good boy! But we avoided the really windy lake - I'm not daft!
