Thrilled for you Emily!!!!!!!!!!!!! Agree with your plan - walk for first week and gauge it from there - but she won't have lost a huge amount of fitness I don't think.

Thanks The problem with Meg is, its so hard to guage, cause I guarantee when I ride her a few minutes, she will be looped. It will be like....grass...ohh...gallop. So I will have to stick to roads to convince her to walk thanks all I am so chuffed.

That's great new - what a relief for you! I agree that I don't think she'll have lost much fitness at all. I've always been told horses keep their fitness much better than humans.
