I have been advertising my western saddle for sale on a couple of websites & i got this email form a guy wanting to buy it:
"Hello, My name is **** ******,and i am insterested buying your Western Todd Bergen Reining Saddle ,Let me know if still availabe, and the price offering for it.and i will like you to send me a current picture.I will handle the pick-up."
So i replied:
"Yes the saddle is still for sale, i have attached all the photos i took at the beginning of the month. As you can see it is in very good condition.
I would like £1150 for it.
Let me know if you have any other questions / queries or would like any further photos."
I then got this email yesterday:
"Thanks for the getting back to me. I have have a client near you there. He will make out the payment to you on my behalf...
He will make out a cheque and send to you. The amount on the cheque will be £3,500,that will cover the shipping and you will deduct your money which is £1,150.
Therefore, when you recieve the cheque you will take it to your bank and cash it, you will deduct your money and assist in sending the balance to my Shipping company that will pick up and ship to me.
I want you to email me the following informations below:
1. The full name on the cheque
2. Mailing Address to send the cheque to
3. Contact phone number
So that the check can be written out in your name and mail to your address.Get back to me asap.
PS:I will want you to kindly put SOLD on the advert from the placing site..ok, or any interested buyer that mail you, just let them know that it has been sold...ok,so for doing that i will be willing to compensate you with £200,so your total deduction will be £1,350 .
Hope this is clear to you."
Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? It seems very weird to me.
Should i just email back saying i won't ship out of the UK? Or should i just ignore it?
