Sorry, search facility doesn't seem to be working, comes up with an error message. Thought I'd get some hoof boots for Caspar (front only) to help with the concussion, and liked the look of the Cavallo, with Ponypits enthusiasm as well as the price. They don't go big enough!! 6inches length, the max they do is 5 and 13/16 so it's back to the drawing board. So, to pick all of your brains (!!) we need for 6 inch long x 5.5 wide, easy to put on (I'm not the most agile person in the world), stay on well and have shock absorbtion - not asking much is it? Oh and don't want to pay a fortune because we may not do a huge amount of hacking and he is fine without for school work etc. So go on, can I have the benefit of your experience please?

What is 6 inches and 5.5 inches in cm? My horse has quite big feet too and I found the Marquis ones fit him. They are excellent boots and are brilliant that all the individual parts (inc soles) can be replaced if they wear out, so you only have to purchase the part not a whole new boot. I have a pair I'm going to be selling shortly if anyone is interested!

That's about 150mm by 138mm. Although it's not cheap (£100ish) the old Mac G2 would fit the bill in just about all the categories you mention and also traction on wet grass and mud. You'd be looking at a size 9 in those I think , I need a pair myself

gilly, what size are the ones you'll be selling and where can I find a sizing chart? Are they easy to put on/get off?
