My horse thinks I am the perfect mummy today because I rode him for the first time in over two months! He's had an enforced break from riding due to remedial physio exercises being done in hand til now. He was so pleased to go for a short stroll under saddle, he was very cuddly and happy indeed when we got back!

Thor doesn't think I am the perfect mum cos I've replaced his previous one. Now he just wants to be with his new field mate (mad mare!). I take him away from her. I can't do anything right, except the carrots.

My horse looks into the distance as if she doesn't know me when I show everyone my favourite trick. I can go underneath her tummy in both directions and if I am wearing too many coats she picks up one of her legs to let me through.
Poor poor Petra, what is the world coming too? Royalty should not have to put up with sort of behaviour.

Autumn thinks a perfect day is feed and no work, so I'm not a perfect owner. Also I make her walk over hard core to condition her feet - she's not keen on that. Dolce would prefer not to be ridden in straight lines, but to wiggle and spook all over the place, and to gallop alongside the boys in their field when they take off.

Hmmm.... I don't spend enough time with him, now mainly because I have to keep one eye on Ging and one on the toddler. Am also a complete wuss when riding, freeze if the slightest thing happens out hacking and I don't let him boing when he wants to. Am also a bit of a stress head sometimes and I get muddled easily in lessons when my instructor expects me to easily be able to use each limb completely independantly and think about 10 things at once.....aargh my brain just gets fried!

I think we are all perfect owners in a certain dgree, we all love them with all our hearts and will do anything for them. I try so hard to give my chap everything he wants. He comes in at night, but he hates the wind and the rain, the slightest drop of rain on him, and he runs to the trees. He has an apple in his water bucket, carrots in his net, a football with treats , and a lickit. He does not like to be groomed as he is sensitive , so i try to do this as little as possible, but when i do i pay particular attention to the bits he likes scratching. He is probably worked to much, he is rode monday to friday, either in the school or out on a hack. An hour once a week in the school and poss up to two out on a hack. He is turned out in the day, but tucked up in bed at night. through the summer he is out all the time. When he has worked he is given polos kind of his wages from me. Because i would not work hard for nothing , well maybe just some times. He also gets weekends off and school holidays, when i am on holiday so is he. oh i do love him.
