Our new little Icey Elding arrived at her new home today. She traveled and unloaded beautifully . She soon had a good look around all the field and introduced herself to the others. The two bigger ones were not very impressed , but Spice our naughty welsh mare and at 13.2 , equivalent size ,bonded immediately. A couple of hours later I returned to find the two drinking from the same bucket and almost inseparable. She hasn't really bonded with the rest of the herd including the leader Honeybee. I cant help but sit here tonight wondering if she will be OK. They are all turned out together and I have been in the situ before but I can't help but worry as I drive to the field tomorrow morning!

I was the same when Blaer arrived. I spent the night flapping about him being out in the cold - he's from Iceland for gawds sake LOL! I have noticed that Iceys are particularly sociable though so I am sure she will be sussing the place out and will be absolutely fine

I also picked up on how inquisitive she was .I have a feeling that these little horses are pretty intelligent-Ive already been told that she is quite a monkey too!

thanks a lot. She seems ok.Keeping a bit of a distance from the others today but very friendly with us which is great. So glad we didnt get this dreadful weather yesterday. The sun definately shone for Elding arrival We have a dreadful muddy mess in our field so sadly good intentions of my daughter Emily riding her the first day have had to be put on hold. Our field was just beginning to harden up nicely too!
