my poor mare i feel so bad, at certain times of the day she goes and stands by the field shelter and pulls faces and looks at her big fat tummy, then glares at me. she's 6 months in foal and the vet says she's fine just the foal moving and kicking, but i know i did this too her. When people say horses can't talk they were lying because when i put the stallion in the field all the mares ran up to him but she didn't she ran the other way and hid behind a bush. i don't think she wanted to be in foal and i didn't listen.

azura, i have a mare here, whose old owners put her in foal. She really really really didnt want to be. she was sedated, twitched and eventually hobbled but still would not be coverred in the end that had to go AI and even then she was really stressy about it, never having been funny to handle around her back end before and she has had at least one foal before and was in good health. An animal communicator then told me the mare did not want children and had been raped. Not sure about ACs or whatever myself, but I was pretty worried about the foaling. She too looked downright miserable through the pregnancy. She is the happiest bestest mum in the wrold, she loves her little filly and is truley amazed at her and in awe of her. She is ahppier than I have ever seen her before, but not overly attached or foal proud. You would go as far as to say shes a naturally perfect mum. So dont worry. Im sure things will turn out OK. There are two types of problem - ones we can do something about, and ones we cant. You cant stop her being pregnant now so theres no point stressing over it. (make that three types - probalmes that arent there at all that we invented - I bet its just her hormones and the weather and she isnt botherred about being pregnant at all!!!)

well at the end of the day even though she did hide behind the bush when the stallion went into the field, he must of seduced her at some point because i did nothing to help the situation artificially. She's had 5 foals before and has always been a wonderful mum, maybe I'm just remembering how it feels when someone is booting you from inside.

She's probably at the psst off with being football shaped and having junior kicking her liver--I remember it well! Like you say, the stallion must have got round her at some point and there's nothing either of you can do about it now except look forward to a nice little foal ;D My ned glares at me if the weather's rubbish. That's all my fault too, apparently
