she was a super dog and always sat by the stable when i worked the horse and wouldnt leave you far, at 14.5 she still wanted to play with her toys and go for walks but old age got the better of her and her larynx became paralised and a major op at her age wouldnt have been fair, and sadly as her larynx wasnt working she roared and made a lot of noise but that didnt bother us, how ever her throt got infected and antibiotics didnt help so we had to make the decision to put her to sleep, the photo was taken of her last summer and for a lab she didnt have many grey hairs!

14.5 years is a wonderful age for a labrador Thundersprite. You should be sooo proud that she was that age. Sounds like you did everything possible and agree re a major op not being fair. She will be at Rainbow Bridge now perfectly fit and running across the landscape. Bless you both.
