I know this bit is for our animal friends, but I have just heard of the death of someone I worked for many years ago when I was a young agricultural student.
He was a vet and veterinary chiropracter and used to take me with him when I worked on the family farm to see racehorses and show jumpers with bad backs.
He knew so much about animals and I can honestly say I learnt more from him than anyone else I met in such a short time.
All the horses loved him and they just knew he was trying to help them. I loved watching him work with the horses, and when he was finished they would shake and stretch and walk out straight with no lameness. You could see the relief on their faces.
I wish I had such a natural gift and I often find myself trying to copy what he used to do when handling horses with problems and pains. He introduced me to alternative medicine for animals and really believed in nature's power to heal which has stayed with me all my life.
Thank you 'Titch'. Mr Herrod-Taylor. Never fogotten.
Sam

Sam that's sad - and a fitting tribute on here I think. I imagine he will meet a few animals at Rainbow Bridge:-)

Yes, I hope so. He had a picture of a horse called Pip in their lounge when I lived on the farm. It was 'Pip, my mother's old hunter'. I could just tell what a loved horse that was!
