Have just found out that my horse `Holly` who I gave to a lovely lady on 2000 had to be PTS.
I owned `Holly` from 1990 - 2000 and gave her up as she had an injury and wasn`t able to be ridden. Found a fab home for her in North Devon with a lady who had land/stables but no horses and wanted to have a horse to love and care for.
Holly was spoilt rotten even taken to the pub and walks with the dogs!!! She became good friends with a blind sheep and cared for it and mothered it. The sheep died and poor `Holly` at the age of 21 pined away and had a re occourance of lympangitus (spelling!!) and the vet said that she had given up.
I feel very upset about this have thought about her many times over the years even going to visit, even have her photos out and portrait to look at.
I can`t believe how lucky I was to find such a great retirement home for her and she had such a great time in her final years, it was a heart wrenching decision and upset me so much in 2000 but it was the right decision and so glad I had the guts to do it.
RIP Holly

Sounds like she was a very lucky girl to have had two such lovely mums. So sweet about her friendship with the sheep - they'll be having a lovely time together in rainbow bridge I'm sure. RIP Holly
Take care x
