Not my horse, but just wanted to put a thread up for my friend's Arab, Sam, who was PTS several weeks ago. We were at the same yard for a couple of years, our horses shared the same field and we used to help out with each other's horses.
Today 20 of us piled into 4x4s and set off along the farm tracks to reach one of our favourite rides, which has a really long canter stretch beside a river - we call it the River Ride.
There we all shed a little tear and scattered Sam's ashes at the edge of the track. Very emotional, but really glad I was there. Bye Sam - rest in peace.

What a lovely thing to do. Sam`s owner has some good friends for you to support her like this. RIP Sam.

It was something that Nicola has always said she would like to do when Sam is no longer with us. Sad the day came so soon, but it was a really lovely experience tinged with sadness.
