Megan, black working Labrador. She came to us nearly 10 years ago and we were told she was 'about 17year old'. The most fantastic gun dog ever! Alert bright and tail wagging to the end. She had a great life and enjoyed her work always. This will be the first year she hasn't worked and will be sorely missed on the team!! Never a growl or bad temper had she and my only regret is that she was spayed when we got her so could never take pups from her. Gone but certainly not forgotten See you later Meggsie XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Sorry the above should have read that she was about 7 when she came to us. But ifthis was right it would have made her about17 years.XXXXXXXXXX

Bless her and you too! A black lab is a very special dog, we have a black lab x GSD (which to me makes him even more special), and as he is getting older and having a few medical problems I understand what you have been through. Love and hugs to you!

Really sorry to hear about your Megan. We lost a golden lab this year due to bone cancer and we still miss her so much. She was the most gentle and beautiful dog to be around, but then again they all are aren't they!
