There's already a discussion on the general chat, but I thought it's worth asking here. Can we get a limit on the size of signature pictures? Some of them are so huge that they are slowing people's PC's down. They can also make the screen display go wide. And to be honest, if they're too huge they kind of distract from the discussion - or am I just a grouchy old female dog? (Thought I'd save the bad language fairy a job and typed that btw ;D). I don't really want to turn them off, because most are really nice. But some are just OTT... aren't they?

Couldn't agree more KAS, can't get the gist of the thread when I have to keep scrolling across the page and to be honest, i have now lost patience and am only reading the ones that certain people haven't posted on so i can get into the story.........which isn't many at the moment....................

Yes please! I can't scroll right--for some reason (only my pc knows) when I try, it goes to my email!!! So I can't read some posts properly and to post I have to do a 'quick reply' and modify to get smilies etc.

How about people are advised to put links to thumbnails only rather than big pics?
Might make things a bit simpler?

A thumbnail is a minature version of the picture. A bit bigger than an actual thumbnail, about the size of your aivtar Miggy.
You know when you have an online photo album like Photobucket. All the pictures are displayed small so you can pick the ones you want to view. These are called 'Thumbnails'
Emi yours looks fine to me!

Gwen, that is fine and very nice. There are still one or two people that post often that need to sort this out....one person in particular has pics so large they literally take the entire length of my screen. I believe I could turn all sigs off, but then I wouldn't see all the nice ones. These people must know who they are; can you please make them smaller!

I have to agree - a lot of people have resized theirs, but the other day I still found myself scrolling left and right to try to read the thread!
In the end I usually give up and go on to an easier one to read. I don't want to turn off signatures, as the pics are lovely, but the really HUGE ones are a pain!

Maybe some people should be PM'd to ask them to do something....okay your horse is nice but do we have to see a nearly life-size picture of him underneath every post? I have turned the signatures off now, got fed up.

I would PM people if this was my forum! Perhaps a few subtle hints the particular people on threads?
Why do the mods not keep things in check? Not only are really large sigs annoying they also slow up the forum.

I thought the point has been made loud and clear, but some people don't seem to think it applies to them. I agree, mods could do something. Hey ho, I have mine turned off!

There's only one too big for my screen now, so I'm keeping them on --- they cheer me up
