Not that I plan to make much use of it, but it said on the DG that it was going to be possible to post on here anon but logged in, just curious how you do it?

If you logout you can post anon or as a 'guest' You choose the name that will be associated with your post when posting. Theres a few guest postings already on the board if you want to see what they are like.

Does that mean that unregistered users will still be able to post then? That won't get rid of the nasty anons

Why would you want to allow Anon posters? I don't know of any other forum that allows it?!?

Has there been a change of heart on this? I know it'll keep the sensitive / NH aspect from the old DG that was one of the things that made it popular, is that the reason?

Perhaps you can only allow the anon posters in the NH section of the forum then instead of allowing their outbursts in the horsey sections?

I know from other boards that although you can post "Anon" as a guest, the ip address is still logged. Therefore Admin can still trace anonymous posters if need be, unlike on the old style DG. So nasty anons beware!!!!!

So nasty anons beware!!!!! Won't do much good as I imagine a lot of posters will not have a static IP address but one dynamically assigned by their ISP. So their IP address will vary.

I daresay if too many people abuse it then non logged in posting might be stopped, it's up to the anons to behave if they want to keep the facility
