Hello folks.
I've ALways had issues with saddle slipping to the right. Have got a new saddle and even got flair put in which I use with a numed numnah with shims depending on where her weight is at (she seems to change weight a lot which doesn't help- hence why I decided to invest in the flair). Seemed to fix the issue for a couple of months, but every single person who gets on her says the same thing, saddle slips to the right! Really worried that all the shifting it back will affect her and it just doesn't seem comfy to ride in either. Decided I should probably be looking at the underlying issue! Honey def has a bigger left shoulder and on a recent physio visit I was told she's incredibly tight on the left side right up her neck to the poll. I have excercises for this that we are doing and she's a lot looser.. But can anyone advise on what excercises either ridden or on the ground woul help even her out and develop her right shoulder muscle a bit? Do you think this is what's causing the issues?
Any advice greatly appreciated!

I used to have the same problem although slippage was to the left. In my case it was due to my mare having a bigger, stronger right shoulder which was pushing saddle left. Her R shoulder just became more built up whilst L shoulder became obviously smaller. Physio treated her and I was told to shim asymmetrically with one pad in front RHS and one in back LHS. The reason behind this arrangement was to prevent the cantle twisting/ falling in to the left as it was pushed by her stronger R shoulder. Leaving the front L unshimmed (smaller shoulder), I was told, would allow room for the smaller shoulder to muscle up. I tried this arrangement (I also use numed shimmed numnahs) the saddle did indeed remain central and after several months her shoulders had evened out so I no longer had to shim asymmetrically. At first it did seem odd to be shimming the 'fatter' shoulder but it made such a difference immediately and 12 months on she was perfectly symmetrical. Since you have the shimmed numnah, do try it and see. It was such a revelation! ETA In your case you would shim front LEFT and back RIGHT pockets. Good luck and do report back at some stage!

Wow thanks for this advice! Really good to hear someone it's worked for. I may try and see if this does the trick. Thanks again.
