I've only just come back after being very busy with some personal issues, glad to see it was still on the go. I use Monty's uni for any training questions but here for general issues, I don't use face book much at all as my email in box is just full of FB rubbish. I also really don't need to know people have rugged their horse or gave then a carrot lol. As for people asking the same questions, well we all had to start somewhere so I don't mind going over old ground as whats old to me not so long ago was new.
Keep it up guys. Especially for us Twitter and FB dislikers!!lol

I love the forum and visit it every day.
I'm afraid of Facebook as I don't understand how it works, and I've been badly misrepresented on a certain local mountain bike groups page, which despite repeated attempts to put things straight, I've been unable to change my contacts attitude. He knows very well that I'm trying to acheive a safe co-existence for everyone, but clearly doesn't want one acheived! This has led to a very hostile attitude towards me among bikers and thus on other biking sites, where I've been named.
Tor died last September, probably due to eating something he shouldn't. He was only 5, had been in the field for 4 years, and had never been ill before. Can't help thinking there's a connection.
So don't expect to me visit Facebook.

I'm afraid I was hugely put off this forum by the "only RAs may post advice" angle. I know that was later withdrawn, but it felt hugely insulting and rather missing the point and ethos of the forum. It was really busy and enjoyable on here until then, and I feel the changes proposed at the time showed a huge misunderstanding of the usage of this board at the time. Plus I have a one year old boy who leaves me with very little spare time!

Hello everyone nice to see some of my old friends still about, Liz purlo, company magic , kaffee so sorry to hear you lost the cute tor He was always a favourite of mine I haven't been about as I had to sell my house a year and a half ago to pay off debts caused by the recession killing my business I now rent and don't have broadband I look in now and again too see how everyone is but phone signal not always good ! My little biscuit is doing well he was diagnosed with cushings last year and has had low grade laminitis twice but has recovered quickly both times and he is still in remission from squamous cell carcinoma 3 years on from his op, sadly I had to have my big fella pts in January he completely lost the plot and became very dangerous my dear vet made the decision for me as I was a complete stressed out wreck in floods of tears I just couldn't cope with him anymore my heart is broken I couldn't fix him despite 7.5 years of trying, biscuit has a new companion a 4 yr old Irish sport horse called merlin who is very kind and gentle and extremely verbal Winnie's every single time he sees me which does put a smile on my face, I shall try and make the effort to pop in more I hope everyone has a lovely weekend x x

Hi Laura,
Great to hear from you, been quiet without you. Sorry about your troubles, life is never straightforward. You did everything you could for the big fella, others wouldn't have even tried. Glad to hear Biscuit is well, and has a new companion. What do you intend to do with Merlin, has he been started?
