Hi all, I thought it'd be nice to start a thread for IH'ers local to Sussex, so that if there are any interesting demo's, clinics or shows we could arrange to go together / meet up or just share the info with like-minded people. So far in my calendar I've got: South of England show (13th / 14th June), an Ashdown Forest Fun Ride (11th July) and the Herstmonceux Mediaeval Festival (1st Aug BH weekend - I might be ground crew for a Skill at Arms demonstration) @michellep marychickkafeehislordshipsmum

Ex Sussex person here! Used to live just up the road from herstmonceux castle and medieval weekend we knew when the battle was on as the Windows shook with the explosions. I think they stormed the castle at 3 and 5pm lol. Do enjoy it.

Working weekends has really put me out of touch with all this stuff!
On 15th June there is a Holistic Horse Network meet up in Cowfold. It's an evening talk given by guest speakers, the next one is by my dressage trainer Kat Leyfield. It's organised through facebook (search Holistic Horse Network on FB) but this next event isn't listed yet, or if anyone wants to go let me know and I can register you. It's £5 which is donated to charity and is usually 7.30-9.30pm

I'd love to go to come along - please register me. I'll be hooning down from London after work, but 7:30 should be achievable.

Would anyone be interested in attending an Equine First Aid course? I'm trying to find out if any are being run locally, but if not I might arrange one myself, if I can get enough people together. I was thinking maybe one or two evening seminars in a local church hall / similar.
Let me know if you'd be interested or if you know anyone who's already running one.

Also, one of the riding schools I go to has offered to run a first aid course in July! It's the Albourne Equestrian Centre.
Please let me know if you're interested & I'll find out more about likely dates, times and costs.

Hi all, I'm going to book a place on the Equine 1st Aid course running at Plumpton on the 4th March. The local Equi-Fun Club may run one themselves if this one is over-subscribed.
