Good grief, you really have been to hell and back. How on earth did you manage to keep going? What about work? Did you take time off? How long did you have to keep up the 20 minute dosing for? Has he made a full recovery?

Extraordinary dedication, I'm so glad it's paid off for you and your boy, especially as you lost your mare to this awful thing. Yes, it's utterly devastating, especially as it tends to be the youngsters it takes. Losing my lad was one of the worst experiences of my life - it was such a shock, coming out of the blue. Hideous.
Did you say your yard was taking part in the vaccine trial? I do hope it proves to be effective - it would be beyond wonderful if grass sickness could become a thing of the past.

I was unlucky that I lost my job 2 days before he was diagnosed - so the first week and a bit I had unlimited time for him, after that I had split jobs working 7-11 and 1-6/7 so managed to get him fed in between and obviously family helped while I worked xx

Having just re discovered my password here I found this old post again - just thought I would quickly update it Arty is now 21 months post diagnosis and is in full work, he was only backed the week before GS struck. We have high hopes for the season, he's a super star jumper and we are hoping to event this season I can't work out how to post photos sadly but have some great ones!
