Err...has anyone got one, or used one, and what do you think of them? I'm seriously considering getting one for my two, but can't decide on the size? I'm thinking the 40" would probably be best, any ideas anyone?

I've just bought the 40" one after thinking about it for months. I ordered a cover for it at the same time as they are supposed to help protect the ball to some extent. Unfortunately the cover was out of stock so ordered another from elsewhere, waited 3 weeks to find that it too was out of stock so now have one on order from the US which will hopefully arrive later this month. I haven't inflated the ball yet as I read that its best to inflate the ball inside the cover. Also read that its best to keep ball blown up rather than deflating it when not in use. I was hoping that I could start desensitizing my horses to it later this month when I have a weeks holiday so fingers crossed the cover arrives soon.

I used a large pilates ball but had to take it out at Bailey trapped it against the fence and then came down on it with his front feet. I was terrified that he was going to miss and end up with his front half the other side of the fence. He did enjoy it though.

Thanks both of you. yes, I've found the 40", but can't find the cover in the UK. I'm a bit hesitant over ordering from US because of customs, I've been caught before! Let me know how you go on. x

I brought my Pilates ball to the field for Harry to either play with or be a bit scared of, so we could use it as another desensitisation tool, but he really wasn't fussed about it either way! We rolled it around and bounced it, but he was entirely non-plussed.
Before you splash out on one, I'd recommend borrowing a friend's or maybe getting a cheap one off eBay just to judge their reactions - if they're anything like Harry it might end up being an expensive and odd-looking field decoration!

Thanks both of you. Yes, I guess borrowing one is a good idea, trouble is I don't know of anyone with one! and Morgan will play with anything, cardboard boxes he drags around for ages, plastic feed bags, Debbie's tools (if he can get them) my clothes that I forgot were on the gate, he even used to push around the Little Tykes Coupe car (for those of you withchildren!)that belonged to my grandson, whether Oscar was in it or not! So I'm hoping that he's find it interesting, but as you say....don't know. and of course, we've all bought children that special present, and then watched as they spend all Christmas day in the cardboard box!

So, on the basis that it's also good for spook busting, I managed to get hold of 2 tractor tyres this morning, to make a bridge/A- frame! (Also Horse Agility)

Well, at the moment I'd be better of making a bridge over a river, the rain this morning, trouble is it runs down the street onto the yard, and down the field, onto the little paddock, and then sits there - grrr!
