I am feeling very restless in life at the moment.
A bit of history. I was born in Swindon and have never left. I didnt go to uni due to a bunch of family issues and have never lived anywhere else. I feel very bored in my job and I feel restless. I am not tied into a mortgage but I have dogs so would have to find a house to rent which takes dogs. Plus there is Lady.
Would it be mad to look to move somewhere? I feel like I should just go an do something. I think I need a new circle of friends. Dont get me wrong I love my friends but I dont have much of a social life. I feel increasingly more alone. Am I mad for wanting a fresh start? It feels like so much to have to organise and I would need a job to start with then look at accomodation for me and Lady.
That and I have no idea where I would want to go.

No. Not mad. What kind of job would you want? Could you get live in? I would decode where I wanted to go. Get a job, then somewhere to live

Not at all mad. Exciting. In your position I'd research where I'd want to go, type of area I want to live in etc, including livery yards, and then start working out how to make it happen. Why not?

Haha. I currently work in Project Management and I have had a look at what jobs are around. It seems like England is a big place and I really don't know where to start. Time to look at a map I think. I dont want to go too far North because all my family are in Swindon.
Hmmm. Serious tinking needed.

Not mad at all. I did the same 2 years ago. I moved from Kent to Devon and haven't looked back. I live in a smal town about 10 miles East of Exeter. I have a great job, we have some amazing riding, and when not riding spend my time running, hiking, cycling and surfing in the giant outdoor playground that is Devon, which feels like my spiritual home. Do your research, find a place you know you can be happy in and go for it :-)

Haha James, how far West?
I like the sound of Glouscester. Or Devon. Hmmmm. God this is actually quite scary. But then anything worth doing is scary or seems impossible at first.

It depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for new friends, then maybe an evening class at college, fitness class, dance class or start going to lessons with a local riding club. You say you didn't go to uni for family reasons, would you want to go to uni now? Maybe part-time? Is there a clear path of progression in your career and is there something you can do to show you are keen and want to move up, maybe there are exams you can start working towards or a new job at your current level to give you a wider range of experience? If you want to move away, then go for it! But it can be lonely to start with. Give me a bell, would love to see you/you and Lady/you and dogs Plus do you want to come on an organised walk some Tues evenings in Cricklade?
