Does anyone's dog or does anyone know of any dog that has or does suffer from interdigital cysts in the feet? A dog I walk has always suffered in one foot, but since a 3-month course of meds for it, it cleared up. Couple months ago another popped up on the other front paw (original is a front), gave some Loxicom that was left over from the last lot, and some bathing with epsom salts, cleared it up... Now another has appeared on his hind foot.... Owner is now thinking of A) going back to vet for meds and B ) researching it to see if his diet can be improved and see if anything more natural can help. Being a horsy person myself, I can only liken it to horse foot abcess, and that somewhere in his body toxins are trying to get out.
For anyone who doesn't know, they pop up between the toes on the foot, they are red swollen and full of pus, which burst, then refil before re bursting if it doesn't clear up before then.

Bella our Staffie gets lumps and bumps all over that she invariably catches from time to time and I bathe with boiled water with salt added and usually they calm down, usually hold her foot in the bowl much to her disgust. LOL The last one she had was between her toes and had to have that removed under sedation as she repeatedly kept catching it and it got infected and antibiotics didnt work, but not come back as yet.
What food is the dog eating and how old is he/she? Have you thought about it being an allergy to something, i.e. where you walk, whether near farmers spraying chemicals in fields etc. Bella once again comes up in HUGE hives everywhere if walked anywhere near fields that the farmer has sprayed and has to have antihistimine tablets for that. We did try a herbalalist who recommended Belladonna (Deadly Nightshade) once and that worked too, so could try going down that route if you want a more natural approach.

he's had it all his life he's on skinners muesli and she is thinking about changing - did a trial run on Burgess sensitive but he wouldn't eat it lol (he's a LAB!) he's 8 I think. An op isn't an option as the vet said that scar tissue could be worse and you can't get rid of that! I walk him at places like along a canal towpath to a local park, or get a bus to a country park or a walkway that runs along a river, it doesn't seem to be any one thing that sets it off. His are only between the toes, and are very painful.

Not sure if Skinners muesli has cereal in, sorry not heard of it, but if it has, owner could perhaps try a food with no cereal in, i.e. Millies Wolf Heart from up north, Lancashire think it is, you can only buy on line though.

It has maize in it which I think is classed as a cereal. There are others that are cereal free, like Orijen, burns, Acana, barking heads etc... They are off on holiday tomorrow so will speak to them when she's back

Two have cleared and the others are getting there. He's had a couple of beach walks this week so think the sea water has helped.

Skinners duck and rice, turkey and rice and salmon and rice ones are hypoallergenic and gluten free - extremely good foods for the price
