I'd love to say I've been inundated with work, but that would be a big fat lie. Work is fine, doggies are fine, but I have so far had such a bad year... I've thought about giving work up, but so far haven't done it. I've had constant problems with my feet (insole needs sorted, have yet to get appointment with specialist podiatrist) appointments keep getting put back, had awful stomach problems late last year, so got referral to gastro unit to be told I have IBS (which I've had for most of my life but had settled, but now it's back with a vengenance)I'm on tabs to slow the gut, tabs to control the "goings" (trying to keep the toilet humour out of this)and gluten free bread. My hormone levels are creeping up so have been referred to the menopause clinic, on Monday was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, so now have wrist splints to wear at night, which are no fun, not because they restrict, but because Im so hot anyway, last thing I need is sweaty wrists - gah ..... and if that's not enough I'm now being referred to the ENT clinic as I have had tinnitus for 5 weeks.... I turn 47 next week... oh and diet.... what diet I must be the only person who can put ON while on a diet - healthy eating plan... all in all - I'm Scottish and no too bad at all xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry to hear your going through so much Julz. I hope you start to feel better soon.
Is it just gluten free bread your having? It is surprising how many people are sensitive to gluten and have very serious reactions (just as you describe). If it is that though you have to cut it out completely and it is in almost every processed food you buy! Even a tiny amount can have the same reaction as eating loads of it. Three of my close friends and family went through it for ages, told they had ibs and to cope and manage it. Now they are gluten free and 100 times better. I now live in a gluten free house and although I don't have issues with it, I have noticed a difference since cutting it out.
Anyway just wanted to say, it is worth a try especially if you notice a bad reaction after eating bread or pasta.
Hope you feel better soon. X

yes bread is gluten free. But although I still eat normal pasta it has to be fresh no dried... (tells you in the IBS website to use fresh, also some veg shouldn't be eaten as it also makes it worse.) Slowly getting better, but have the odd urge to go no matter where I am....
