Glen Gold listed as stolen from Lancashire now being offered for sale on Horsemart advert details are:- HM338K960 on HOrsemart........he has been located and is being offered for sale, his owner is trying to get him back police have been informed and all parties (except for the seller) are trying to resolve this issue.............he was stolen from Samantha Rooke when she worked for Nick Saville who was based at Gisburn in Lancashire. Samantha wanted him sold and he was sold but Nick Saville pocketed the money and the police up here deemed that Glen Gold was stolen.
When she stared tracking him he was always being moved on and she was always one step behind, but her breakthrough came when she saw him being ridden in the modern penthalon by Samantha Murray who won silver on him in London 2012.......she is so close to bringing him home now but please anyone who has seen this advert I beg you from the bottom of my heart not to go and see him or make an offer for him....he is being called 'King' now and being advertised as a school master
Sellers name is Katie Westphal-Reed

I too hope he is returned to his owner and quickly, but do you think this thread should be up here? If the person who is selling him gets wind of police poss going in tomorrow then he could be moved........again.

bit of a bummer for the person who bought him in good faith tho isn't it?
and if his owner wanted him sold surely this is a money issue rather than a horse welfare one - how come they want him back now?

Saw an advert just yesterday on our local facebook horsey group. Same name as mentioned on here. He also seems rather cheap for a lad who evidently will jump sizeable fences with an unknown rider, hes not that old yet...

There has been some developments but cannot say as yet what is happening............apart from the police have now said its a civil matter and it all rests on paperwork and other factors, I did get one thing incorrect, the original owner had expressed an interest in selling him but changed her mind, the culprit knew this and sold him anyway......his excuse was 'owner did not tell him the horse was no longer for sale' well she did and she has a copy of the email and the letter she sent to him to tell him that the horse was only a competition livery..........all her bills were paid on the dot as well so he didn't have the excuse he sold him to discharge a debt........she does have his passport, his BSJA documentation etc so fingers crossed she gets him back

There was a time when a man could be deported to Australia for horse theft. Now it seems common place and the police always say it is a Civil case.
So much for passports etc etc. I do hope his rightful owner gets him back but imagine he has been moved so often that proving anything will not be easy.

Unfortunately I think, much as the same as a vehicle V5, holding the passport does not prove ownership Hope he ends up with the right person soon.
