Do many people do this? I have always been told it will wind up horses. Dan is currently in a field with pickings of grass, we are supplementing with hay but is working out quite costly but at the yard they buy haulage in bulk which would work out a lot cheaper, BUT would this be a bad idea? It smells nice but not like really sweet haylage and all the others are fine on it, I am presuming its me being over paranoid after having a lamanitic fatty previously, your opinions are appreciated

I wouldn't worry about it either. The only downside with haylage is it is more acidic than hay so some horses don't get on with it but that's quite rare.

I've always fed everything haylage because I'm allergic to hay, never had a problem.
