I've heard a few people say about feeding whole rosehips as a treat.. especially as they are safe for lammi ponies/cushings..
Is this true? I was thinking of getting some to see if may liked them.. she is chronic lammi/cushings/ir.. so doesn't really get any treats but be nice to be able to give her a handful of something as a reward.. that will be safe.
Or any other suggestions?

Yep theyre fine - hawthorn flowers would be another, little piece of swede/turnip shouldnt be too bad as long as you dont go nuts!
Only thing was Whin wouldnt eat the rosehips! Used to eat everything else then blow them round her blow like skittles grr

I know I read somewhere recently that rosehips are good for laminitis, whether they have anti-inflammitory properties perhaps?

Rosehips are full of vit C, more so than any fruit, but are also a dieuretic I think.
If they won't eat them whole, you could try making a syrup/ juice from them, although you'd need to beware of the sugar content if you make the syrup. It's easy enough to do.
Otherwise now is a great time to harvest them, or any time after the first frost. If you collect them earlier then 24 hours in the freezer will help them release their goodness.
Feedmark sell a rosehip supplement though if you don't fancy an hour in the hedgerow.

I pick handfuls from the hedgerows and Cheekychops wolfs them down. Though he will pretty much devour anything offered to him..apart from wormer :-b

I pick all the ones in the horses' fields and save to use as treats - I still have loads! they are especially good for Brio who gets a bit more enthusiastic than i would like with 'normal' treats - rosehips are nice without making her get pushy for them.

I can never find any in a bush! lol Although i did find like 2 or 3 growing in my field.. so tried her with them.. she liked.. so brought her a bag of dried whole rosehip.. splash my other cushings pony crushed them and spat them out (didn't surprise me he wouldn't even try the fresh ones! lol) May thinks they are lovely though... nearly took my hand off for them!! lol
