Im interested in a dream saddle and wondered if anyone on here could tell me anything about them,do you have one? how do you get on with it? Seems strange to have to buy one before you buy, does this work?

are you talking about the dream team treeless? If so I have one for sale as it is totally unsuitable for my high withered horse. I found it extremely comfortable but poor old Oscar didn't!

Do you mean 'buy one before you try'? It is not uncommon for saddle manufacturers/retailers to take a payment to cover the value of the saddle before sending it out on trial. That is how our trial system works, we need to make sure our costs are covered in the case of loss or damage to the saddle when on trial, and it makes sure people are serious about the saddle and not just wanting a free couple of week's use. There is usually a hire charge taken from the deposit when/if the saddle is returned. Looking at the dream saddles trial agreement, I would not want to make a decision on a saddle for a horse with a trial as short as 4 days, a minimum of 2 weeks or preferably up to 2 months is more ideal.

Hi Megan I have a dream saddle 17" in brown. I have a barrel shaped, short backed Arab with no wither who i was struggling to fit and it has been brill whilst I have been backing him and bringing him on. I have never had any issues with it slipping and have even popped a few small cross country fences in it. They are extremely comfy to ride in and you do feel secure in them. Only negative thing i can think of it that they do look big, this is the only reason I would consider butiny a different saddle to do dressage etc in.
