My daughter lost her best freind on Tuesday, our Bichon Frise Misty.
After being ill for a few months, Misty had surgery on Tuesday to remove a kidney. The operation went well, but as she was coming round from the anaesthetic she went into respiratory arrest , then her heart stopped. The vet used adrenaline and did open heart massage but couldn't save her. She was only 5.
We got Misty when she was 1, and in the short time we had her she brought such joy to our lives. She was full of fun, mischievous, craved attention and was always on the go. She wasn't your typical 'powder puff' Bichon. She came to the yard most days and would spend hours running around the yard, racing round the field with the ponies, getting covered in mud, and eating horse poo!!!
Misty was my daughter's best friend. They were inseperable. They played together, went on walks together, and she slept in my daughter's bed. She insisted on digging the hole we burried Misty in yesterday, and wrapping her in her blanket before saying goodbye. My daughter is heartbroken.
I can't believe Misty is gone and we'll never see her again. She was such a huge part of our lives and I feel empty inside without her here.
Misty, you brought such joy to our lives and we will always cherish the wonderful memories you have given us. You are free from pain and suffering now. Run free my beautiful girl. We will remember you and love you always xxxxx
