Poor soul he doesn't know what to do with himself. And some of the comments- not fear but aggressive!!
I wonder if she has had the farrier turn up and with no gear or chaps etc on just take him for a walk and pic up his feet , then leave him alone then repeat - she says she has been trimming him herself so it should be possible....
such a lovely horse

Why, oh why is the horse tied up for a start! A serious accident waiting to happen as well as adding to the horses fear and frustration. I wonder how he is tied up there when the farrier is not visiting.

I once knew a pony that was so scared of the farrier he had to be blind folded before the farrier arrived. Usually with a light weight rug over his head.

I wonder why he is tied up. there are so many ways to build up step by step to the farrier getting the stuff from his van. I wonder if they have solved the problem?

Horses behave like that when they are trying to tell you they don't want to be shod.
I'd investigate hoof related pain.

I would have thought it would have been better if the owner was holding him and maybe not extra people around (person holding camera and whoever else is hiding).
Farriers quite good looking tho wish I still had a good looking farrier ;-)
